I'm Ashley. Your photographer, hype girl, bff, style guru, planning queen, and memory capturer. I'm here to help make small moments into permanent memories.
If you’re just a normal human like the rest of us, then your daily life isn’t showing up on the cover of a magazine. It’s filled with diapers, puke stains, and coffee you’ve reheated for the fourth time… and that’s exactly where the magic lives. Real emotions. Real stories.
When I plan sessions for my clients, I skip the studio setups and fake smiles (though 100% real smiles are always welcome). Instead, I’m drawn to the tiny, unscripted moments that make your family yours.
It’s the art of living while being photographed. No forced poses, no props. It’s your baby stretching mid-yawn, the way sunlight hits your kitchen mid-morning chaos, your partner handing you coffee on repeat… real life, as it’s actually happening, not as it looks.
Unposed: You won’t be asking people to angle or fake laugh. Instead, I’ll capture real interactions. Like you and your baby humming a favorite song, your partner bringing you that life-giving latte, the tiny curl of fingers around your index finger.
Natural Light: I work with the imperfect, moody sun filtering through windows, or lamps you’ve had since college, not studio strobes.
Familyhood: You, your baby, your pets, your kids. Everyone gets to show up however they want. Because family is family, in all its imperfect shapes.
That’s the heart of what I do. Capturing connection, motion, and honestly, the messy beauty of home.
I’m not here to direct you into contortions you’d never even try outside of photo time. If your best pose is toddler-nap collapse or baby-on-the-shoulder realness, perfect. That’s exactly what we’re capturing.
We’ll read stories. You’ll feed. You’ll dance around the living room like nobody’s watching, because in that moment, nobody is. I’m simply observing, documenting, and celebrating the feel of it all.
According to neuro-scientific studies, photos that capture genuine emotion, smiles, tears, small gestures, are more memorable and meaningful later on. When your child is 18 and flips through albums, their emotional memory (how you felt) matters more than their tiny props or outfits.
By choosing lifestyle photography, you’re investing in images designed to transport you emotionally, not just visually.
After a session, here’s what I often hear:
That’s it. That’s what I’m aiming for. Photos that feel like falling into a memory rather than stepping back into a set.
The park day meltdown
I recently shot a session with Emma and her toddler. Mid-session, her three‑year‑old launched into a meltdown over the wrong flavor of applesauce. Most photographers would freeze, but I leaned in. Captured the meltdown, the negotiation, the deep-down love underneath it all. Emma later told me, “That meltdown photo is my favorite, it’s so us.”
Late-night feed and whisper
A Fresh 48 session in a dim hospital room, mom holding baby, eyelids heavy. Dad leaning in, whispering something only mom can hear. I framed it as black and white. Emma’s husband later framed it in their nursery and said, “It’s like our wedding photo, but maybe even deeper.”
These aren’t staged family shots. They’re life punctuated.
Your home has stories. The late-night cuddles, the first giggles, the days you all wear PJs all day just because. Someday, these will be the moments you crave to hold onto.
These aren’t just photos. They’re time capsules. Proof that you lived a certain way, loved a certain way, and raised a certain mini-human in a certain cozy, chaotic house.
Real emotions over flown perfection
Your home has a pulse. The hum of the dryer, the soft shuffle of feet on carpet, the sleepy sighs during a late-night feed. Those textures matter. They say: “This was us, exactly like this.”
Preserving fleeting moments
Newborn fingers unfurling. Baby’s first smile. Toddler’s stubborn insistence on wearing dino slippers. These are blink-of-an-eye moments, tiny universes of emotion and story ready to be captured.
Authenticity builds trust
When clients see real-life images, complete with sippy cups and dog hair, they feel seen. They know that results won’t feel staged. That builds confidence and connection.
Timelessness is in emotion, not perfection
Styled shoots can feel dated. But a photo of you holding your baby while they cry because they dropped their muslin blanket? That emotion never goes out of style.
Your home is not background. It is character. Your chaos is not flaw. It is texture. And your life right now? It’s a story worth preserving, exactly as it is.
I’m currently booking maternity, Fresh 48, and in‑home newborn sessions in and around Wesley Chapel and beyond. Let’s capture your sacred mess, your deep love, and the way your life feels, not how it looks.
